I woke up this morning and thought, TODAY would be a good day to start school. I had been thinking about starting next week, when the traditional schools start- but then it dawned on me- I'm certainly not a traditionalist when it comes to schooling- so why not just start right now? Today was as good a day as next week would be and early this week I had finally finished up getting my lesson plans all ready to go.
No "traditional' backpack and pigtail pictures here... just a couple of crazy kiddos sitting on the stairs..

Good idea! We are not starting until the following week. I decided that I didn't need to start on Tuesday either! I am more excited then nervous...but honestly still some nerves!
The kids look happy and the one of Ariana is so cute and then Alex with his cars...too cute. FUN FUN FUN! You are building such a wonderful foundation! Good for you!
We really need to carve out some time to get together...maybe soon!

Congrats on your first day. Looks like the kids had fun! I couldn't see all of the pictures for some reason, but the ones I could see were adorable.
We're trying to finish up week five--we had to get a bit of a head start since we travel in the fall and spring.

I also thought about beginning this week...but we are having family come in for the weekend. So I'm letting the children have a little more time before we get cranked up with home-schooling.
