My son... my only son. Can I tell you a little secret? Before I had kids, one of my fears was that I would someday have a boy. Now, before you gasp in horror and disgust, let me just remind you that I grew up with one sister. That's it. And we lived with my Mom most of the time. So, all I knew was... girls! I knew nothing of these strange foreign little creatures called "boys."
My idea of a boy was mess. dirt. NOISE. climbing. craziness. constant chaos.
What I find to be one of those great ironies in life- is that I did not end up with that "crazy chaos" package in my son. It came in the gift of a petite little baby girl who started to give me a run for my money when she turned 9 months old and began walking and climbing and creating constant chaos... but I'll blog about Ariana another time.
Not my little guy, though. Sure, he's definitely all boy and he likes to rough and tumble. But more often than not, he's my gentle, patient, loving sweet little boy who I just cherish and adore with all my heart.
I remember when I was carrying him... long before he was born and I knew he was a boy, I was certain that the little baby I was carrying had a sweet and gentle spirit. I felt it then with absolute certainty. And at almost 5 years old, he is absolutely our most gentle, sweet and loving one of the bunch.
He's my buddy- and I love him with all my heart.
So.... without further ado- let me move on to my "Wordless Wednesday" pictures of my son...

How blessed you are to have such a wonderful son! He sounds like a delight! I'm sure you hold a VERY special spot in his heart as well! The pictures are so cute!
Very sweet picture. Two of my boys are gently sweet, and two are my wonderful spirited challenges. I will take boys anyday. I better since I have four of them. Sweet, sweet pictures.
Mike and Chris provided enough chaos growing up to make me a bit wary of raising boys also, but then I met the likes of Joe who I'm told has always had a sweet and gentle nature!
Alex is a schweetie...and I LOVE his little schwirl. I'm a sucker for cowlicks! I'm so happy you have a kind and gentle little guy. He'll make a fantastic big brother to two!
