"Not Me! Monday"

Time again for MckMama's "Not Me! Monday"

Here are the things I definitely did NOT do in the past week...

1. When preparing the "treat bags" for the kids last soccer game I absolutely did not pack 2 eat 1, pack 2 eat 1, pack 2 eat 1 of the candy corn I was stuffing into the bags. I don't even like the stuff!

2. I totally did not obsessively check the news websites last Thursday night (hitting refresh every 30 seconds) after the VP debate to see who "won" - because that would be a waste of time... since I already knew who won ;)

3. I did not, and would never, let my kids watch the leapfrog letters and sounds movie... twice in a row... so that I could write last Thursday's post.

4. I certainly did not wear a super padded bra out on a date with my husband - in attempt to reclaim those perky, footloose and fancy free days- because, after all, these twins don't need the least bit of help after nursing 3 kids for 6 years!

5. I did not find myself vaccuuming my entire house for 45 minutes just so I wouldn't have to listen to my toddler throwing an overly exaggerated, way too lengthy temper tantrum. No- not this patient Mommy! Or, maybe sometimes "vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sounds like sweet music compared to, "WHAAA!!!!!WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!"

6. I definitely did not make my 2 little kids come in my bed this morning, (instead of getting up for the day), turn on PBS and bury my head under the pillow in a feeble attempt to catch a few extra Zzzzz's. No way! Not me- I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed when the rooster crows, my friends!

And on that note... have a great day!!

Ha ha ha! I to have never used PBS in an attempt to reclaim missing sleep. I've never tried the vaccum to drowned out the noise. I'll have to remember that.

Amen, sista to the extra Z's while watching PBS. I have done that so many times. :)

The padded bra is a hoot too!

Have a good day!

I love it!! I did not go from channel to channel either to see who won the debate, since I also already knew. ;)

And here I was thinking that I was the only one that ran the vacuum when there is a tantrum going on in the house. You would think that the carpet would have bald spots in it by now...

I LOVE "Not me Monday"....I was able to add it to mine as well!

Oh...PBS, I NEVER do that, nope, I turn on praise and worship music and my kids sit quietly with their hands folded while I peacefully prepare their lessons, blog, and clean the house.....I WISH...that is DEFINTELY NOT ME FOR REAL! PBS is my close personal friend who babysits for free and without notice...I really should send her a thank you card!

I can relate on many levels, but let me just take one...hiding under the blankets. One child to my left, one to my right, and one who likes to tuck behind my legs and use my butt as a pillow. Each one knows there spot. They are not close enough to touch the other and believe me I have squeezed an extra hour of sleep on the good days. Thanks PBS.

Ooooh. We're moving into a house with a mounted TV stand in the corner of the master bedroom. Maybe I won't insist on DH removing it.... :) I have no idea what thread of blog clicking brought me to yours, but I like your style!
