Like, seriously, who could possibly have a floor this messy??
(Well- if you could see me in person, you'd see my arm raised in the air.)
We could!... We DID!
After Christmas, I let the kids play with their things and store them in clear bins in the living room for 5 days. But, enough is enough. I couldn't take it anymore. So... out dumped the bins and the organization project was started.
Holy Moly- if you think THIS is bad, you have seen our basement! I didn't take pictures because, frankly, I don't want to remember what it looked like.
But I persevered and carried on- in between trying to get the kids to help. Seriously, I felt like a cowboy with a whip. METAPHORICALLY speaking, that is. Sheesh... don't need anyone calling CPS on me!
I think, in the end, I did about 96% of the organizing. Isn't this how it always ends up for the mothers?
OH- and by the way- I don't normally place the baby playcenter on top of the ottoman. Just in case you were worried for my little one. No, he's safe. Well, relatively speaking, anyway- can you find him in amongst the chaos? It's like Where's Waldo?
But he was happy....
... at least that meant someone was happy today.
Did anyone else have to face the "Post Christmas" war zone disaster cleanup!??!? Or was it just me??

Looks like all the kids had a wonderfully fun Christmas! Our living room pretty much looks similar...still! Haven't organized the new stuff quite yet.
I'm still avoiding school planning, and Joe is reorganizing our back room so we can finally keep our ping pong table back there instead of in our living area!
Me me me!!! I couldn't take it very long. I was wonderfully calm with the chaos (which looked very much like yours) until Sunday. Then it was all over. Put away all the Christmas stuff and everything. I honestly don't know what the kids did with all their new toys. Their room is messy, but it always is, so I'm sure they found a place among the madness. Someday that will get organized... Loved the where's Waldo. Lol!!
I'm raising my hand here too.
I did work on getting toys put away yesterday, although I didn't completely finish.
One thing I find that helps is that I clean out all of their toys in the weeks leading up to Christmas so I'll know there are somewehre to put the new things after Christmas!
I moved stuff so I could get to the tree to undecorate ;)
Oh man! I am STILL dealing with post Christmas destruction!
We are waiting on dressers and a bookcase for our boys room and it is a mess already without all the extra toys they have received!
