Let me start by saying, here is just a handful of things that I did today...
1. Washed
2. Folded
3. And put away 6 load of laundry
4. Changed the sheets on 4 of our 5 beds
5. Baked a loaf of bread
6. Fixed Breakfast
7. Lunch
8. And a fairly time consuming dinner
9. Cleaned the kitchen...
10. Three
11. Times
12. Changed 3 diapers
13. Wiped one butt (besides my own)... twice
14. Vacuumed the entire first level of carpet
15. Swept the entire first level of hardwood (no small task)
16. MOPPED the floors
17. Cleaned a few windows
18. Cleaned my piano
19. Worked for 3.5 hours on Finances for the company I work for
20. Worked for 1 hour on putting together our next "years" (which really starts next week) home school plan
21. Baked a pan of cookie bars
And as the day was wrapping up, and I was putting away the last loads of folded laundry, Grace happened to walk up to where I was at...
Me: "Oh. Hey! Grace, can you put this (small) pile in Ariana's room and this (even smaller) pile in Alex's room?
She cocked her head to one side and with her big beautiful eyes asked- in all honesty and seriousness- in true princess fashion...
Grace: "Mommy? Why am I Cinderella?"
.... All I could do was laugh... more like cackle. That hushed, deep, sinister cackle - like the evil witch I was about to turn into... "Oh, honey- if you only knew..."

How many hours do you have in YOUR day? If you can get all that done AND work 3.5 hours...WHAT?! You did? Sounds like you MUST have more hours in your day than I do in mine. Or is it just that my level of efficiency seems to be decreasing significantly lately with...Hot. 100. Degree. Days? Either way, I'd still need more time to get all those things done.
A few years ago I thought it would help to get more laundry baskets since I was never able to get all the laundry put away before I'd need another basket for clean clothes coming out of the dryer. Later, I figured either I shouldn't use all the baskets or I could go ahead and get rid of all our dressers because all the clean clothes STAYED in the baskets and we'd fish around and find our clothes STILL in the baskets!
The problem has somewhat fixed itself since the kids are now old enough to put their own laundry away. Or is that just theoretically speaking? I sometimes wonder!
Now I've gotten to the point where I'd just like us all to have a lot less clothing. Much simpler!
At least it's not sock season around here right now! Sorting and putting away socks could stymie my laundry progress for days!
That is so funny. I just posted a similar blog and you will see that I was not as productive as you. You are superwoman! (Mother of Cinderella)
Oh, Grace! That is TOO funny!! :-)
And, yes, Angela...I am totally impressed by your day!! Doesn't it feel SO good at at the end of a super productive day?? Especially a nice, CLEAN house?? :-)
Wow Wonderwoman!!
Too bad we don't get paid. ;)
Thanks for the laugh... and trust me, I was laughing. Only because my boys think the same way... and it always amazes me.
Number 13 made me LOL as I still have 2 non-wipers (well 1 likes to try but the bathroom looks like a crime scene when he is done!)Haven't visited in a while, but good to see you all are doing well.
