Celebrating the 4th of July in typical "American" fashion, we went swimming at Mike's brother's pool, we ate hamburgers and hot dogs (albeit, organic, 100% vegetarian fed, nitrate-free... wink, wink), spent the entire day outside, and finished off over at my Dad's with fireworks and s'mores (the non-organic kind ;)

Heinrich (aka Alex) LOVED going down the slide!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.........

Grace had a blast on the slide, as well!

Ariana was quite a handful at the pool (no surprise there)... she had so much fun being IN the pool, that when everyone was done and OUT of the pool, it was all we could do to keep her out, too!

This, perhaps, was Ariana's favorite part- jumping with Daddy!

After many hours at the pool party, we headed over to Dad's and met up with my sister and her kids. As you can see from Grace's face, below, they were delighted at the fireworks display...
... even if it was just a small "ground display" done by their big cousin, Samuel....
Here is a quick moment of smiling, in between constant mosquito slapping...

Cute, Angela! Glad you had a happy day and you survived Ariana at the pool (SHUDDER!)!!!!! :)
I love, love, LOVE the picture of Mike and Ariana jumping on the trampoline...with her skirt flying up!
Looks like you had quite a FULL day! Wait a minute. You had a sweatshirt on? What? If it is THAT cool where you are, I wanna be there too!
Around here when the sun goes down you MIGHT stop sweating, but we sure don't go running for our sweatshirts...until around the end of October!
Can I come up and play?! Please!? Oooh, that's right--there are lots of mosquitoes. Darn. Let's head to the mountains! We'll meet you in Colorado! ;)
What a fun time!! :-) I am so glad that you guys had a great 4th of July!
Thanks for sharing all of those neat, fun family pictures. Those times and memories with family are priceless, aren't they??
I love seeing all these pictures of what a fun time you had. All of those kids are so sweet-looking. I would have spoiled Ariana rotten and made you let her have her way with everything. She is adorable. I'm glad you had a happy 4th. We had hot dogs too. My Hubby had 5 in one day and felt sick. I told him he was pumped full of nitrates! I think he has recovered by now???
Sounds like good ol' family fun! Good for you guys! So, I think that I am officially feeling like myself again. Really, it is not HAVING the actual three kids, but having Anna and Johnathan so close in age. Anna is so darn busy I swear it is like having TWO toddlers! We actually relish in going out b/c she is actually shy outside the home! Anyway, I think that I might be up for an outting if you are still in...let me know!
awe I just love your photos! I found you off someone else blog comments.. cant even remember who. :-) Glad I did tho. I enjoyed my visit.
