aha!...

Perhaps, like me, you are familiar with and fond of Real Simple magazine - a periodical chocked full of interesting and useful information. One of my favorite features is their "aha" articles which give creative ideas for alternative uses for everyday items.

And, at 20 months of age, my little adventurous one has thought of quite a few "aha!" uses of her own for a common everyday kitchen item...
Behold!
The fencing mask....

The tennis racket...
(check out that backhand!)
The bee-keepers hat...
And, last but not least -
The butterfly net!
(aka...
...the kitchen strainer

She's so versatile! ;)

I'm sure you have oodles of photos of Ariana. She's so full of personality...and we can't even HEAR her on the blog! I can only imagine!

Darn, we're not even coming up that way this year, so I won't be able to listen to her in person any time soon. Any plans for heading this way?

Thanks so much for coming to my and my sister's party today! It was great chatting with you and getting to know you a little bit outside of the "blog world." :) You also have an adorable family!

oh, and since we were talking about how my blog is now private, feel free to email me and I'll add you to my list of readers.
My email is Hily81@aol.com

Thanks again for coming! Who knows, maybe this "Big Bash" will become an annual event!
Take care!
Hilary

It was so nice meeting you yesterday, Angela!! You're as adorable as you kids.

Great post. I love the inventive nature of kids. They see items for the potential and not merely for the ascribed purpose.

You are so clever, how cute!

What is that B. website - I HAVE to check that out (and hopefully not throw up). I'm going out into the world of Google now and will email you if I can't find it.

It's me again. Yvette sent me the pictures of all of us "bloggers" and she doesn't know your email address. I told her I'd try to get it from you so I can send the pics your way!

I couldn't find it. Is there a website just for them or is it the ABC one?
