Impatient Mom find renewed peace in her home...

All right, for those of you who were wondering (all 3 or 4 of you who keep up on my blog :) ... I thought I should post an update since I did, after all, write "stay tuned..." at the end of my last post.

I have to say- yesterday turned out to be a fabulous day. Did I fall to my knees, repent and ask God for renewed strength? Well, not quite that dramatically, but yes- I did. Actually, I do that every morning (how else could I be a stay at home/home school Mom???) But God was good to me yesterday and brought me a much needed break away from my home in the form of about 400 errands that needed to be done yesterday. I am a little embarrassed to say that although I did have a wonderful, peace-filled day with my kids... I only spent a total of 3 hours with them the entire day. So, in other words, it wasn't that difficult. BUT- I will say this- as I am typing this note, it is 10:00 a.m. on the following day and things are on the up and up. And - unlike yesteday- I have actually spent the entire morning with my kids.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little break away to remember how much I love spending time with them and miss them when I'm away.

I DID check out your blog yesterday to see if you had an "update"...so, I was wondering!! :-) I am so glad to hear that it has been going better!!!

Those "breaks" away from the kiddos (even in the form of errands) can be so refreshing and are needed from time to time. I too homeschool (1st grader and Kindergartener)- and the demands of school and home life can be so overwhelming at times!!

Renewed strength from the Lord IS so necessary...2 Cor. 12:9 is one of my favorite verses as there are so many times that I just feel so weak...

Oh...and yes, we are "neighbors" at least our states touch each other! I am from good old ND!!! :-)
